Besides work

Some pictures of stuff not really related to the course =}

At the Pa Kua Florence..been taking martial arts, sintony and archery classes. That finish today ;A; I'm sad.

Of course, I had to cook a vegetarian feijoada. It was actually very much apreciated by my flat mates even though it's an unusual dish. Instead of the meat I used dryed tomatos, zucchini, eggplant, mushrooms and bell pepper.

And this.....this, is the best chocolate cake I've ever ever had. If you can visit the place, you really should. It's a little caffe called Baldobar, just outside the Scuola del Cuoio, on the left side of Santa Croce (if you're facing the church), Firenze.

And this is the corner of our street 8D it's really weird, it divides in two here and then in three a little bit after... I got seriouly lost when I arrived....

More pictures from the course at Scuola del Cuoio

While waiting for the sewing machine, I took the time to figure a way to make a thumbring for the chinese archery classes at the Pa Kua school. It's not the most amazing thing in the world, but it works fine XD

And here is the final result of the project. The strap didn't came out exactly like I wanted, but it was really hard to find enought leather to make such a long braid. I actually like the colors, but it turned out a lot more rustic than I expected.

And I managed to get some of the pictures.

Our final project for the course was a bag. I chose a rather simple design, since I decided to hand stitch it (just poking the leather to make the holes takes a hole lot of time...)

I decided to have no lining on it, and leave all the sides raw. The only part that was sewed from the inside and turned, were the bottom corners.

Well, it turns out my anti virus found something in my camera o.õ I don't know what, since I already cleaned it and scanned it and everything...But everytime I try to copy photos it gets blocked. So, I'll try to buy another card, and if that doesn't work, maybe the problem is with the computer (a lot of weird stuff happening with it lately...)

But as I can't put pictures, I'll talk about food 8D AS you may or may not know, I'm a vegetarian. and I found the most amazing soy products line here *o*

If you wanna take a look http://www.valsoia.it/ the site is in italian, but you can change to english on the top right corner. And they work not only with soy, but with rice too. And it's reaaly good. I only got the hamburguer and the cotolette (wich looks like chicken).

I've been having to cook to go to school, and this turned out to be a great help. In Brasil, we make our own hamburguers from the texturized soy protein, and it ends up taking a lot of time.

So, as I said you must be carefull when getting a place without seeing it first. I arrived Sunday, got really lost, because I forgot my map, and it took me like one hour to find the house (it should've been a 10 minute walk).

Than I got there and the girl who rented it didn't live there. Not that big off a deal, but I was a little lost about it when I arrived.

In the end I was lucky, because the people who are living with me are really nice, and for now, there's no one else in my room (it's a double).

I couldn't make the internet work lol. Is a WEP thing I have no idea how to configure, so I'm using the internet at the IED and the Pa Kua schools when I can .A. really hard to figure the timing, in Brasil is 5 hours earlier.
